I'm going to try firing up the blog again for 2016, especially the nature/landscape side of things. It is in desperate need of a redesign so I will be working on that while shooting for KSTV. Unfortunately the slideshows on older posts have been disabled by flickr. You can find all of my work in my gallery.

Cincinnati Snapshots

We went up to Cincinnati to take in a Reds game on Friday. They had a fireworks display after the game. The second shot was taken from the John Roebling bridge as we walked over the river.

A little game action. The Reds won thanks in part to a Grand Slam home run by Encarnacion that hit off the back of the empty seat right in front of my son! Unfortunately it bounced back on the field. =(

Yearbook Yourself

I had fun tonight playing with a site called Yearbook Yourself

It is hysterical seeing all of the different hairstyles.

Many of them look hauntingly familiar.

This one could pass as my own photo! Scary Aqua Net hair and all. =)

Here is a quick collage I made with my results:

Sleeping baby-Photoshop Fun

I ran across this baby image this morning and knew I had to use it in one of my fantasy photos. It's not Photoshop Friday yet, but I'll share anyway.

My husband surprised me with yellow flowers this morning so this one's for him. =)

Turning two

I don't share pictures of my kiddos very often, but I am working on a memory album so I thought I would post a couple today. This is my littlest. She recently turned two. Where does the time go?

Butterfly Beauties

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to. Ok, I won't cry, but it is my 36th birthday. Not sure how I feel about that. Holding at 27 didn't work. Maybe I can hold at 35? =)

Anyway, here are a few more from my recent trip to the Arboretum.

Macro Monday

I stopped by the Arboretum to let the kids see the bird house display. I found a few critters to chase around while we were there. TFL!

Cooper's Hawk

I'm not feeling well, but when I saw this guy swoop under my grapevine this morning, I had to grab my camera and try to get a shot of him. He looked so beautiful in the early morning light. I don't think he was too happy about me disturbing his breakfast though. =)

Natural Arch-Daniel Boone National Forest

We visited Natural Arch in the Daniel Boone National Forest. That's my daughter in the bottom of the last shot. =) The kids loved all of the rock formations and the hike to get to the arch. They especially enjoyed the "Be Bear Aware" signs. Yikes!

Macro Monday-My vacation bug collection

Seems like everywhere we went on our vacation, we came across interesting little creatures. Wish I had my macro filters with me! The black one was so funny. We found him in the Daniel Boone National Forest while hiking to the Natural
Arch. He would roll over and play dead when we came near him. =)

On Vacation & Free Textures

I'm heading to the lake for a little break from all of the house stuff. I'll be back sometime next week with lots to share from the beautiful Lake Cumberland area. Sorry I have been MIA. Between the kids heading back to school, and the house going on the market, there just isn't any time left over. Things should settle down next week...Finally!! Thanks for stopping by. =) I have missed everyone.

In the meantime, here are some great free textures:
