Our black swallowtail butterflies have started to emerge. We released this one over the weekend and had one emerge during the night. No matter how many times we witness this metamorphosis, it is always exciting seeing the butterflies.

I look forward every year to your butterfly shots. I never get tired of them, and love the fact that you document the process. What a great experience for your kids. I love the black swallowtails; the caterpillar is as pretty as the adult form!
