I'm going to try firing up the blog again for 2016, especially the nature/landscape side of things. It is in desperate need of a redesign so I will be working on that while shooting for KSTV. Unfortunately the slideshows on older posts have been disabled by flickr. You can find all of my work in my gallery.

Riot of Color

In her amazing historical fiction novels set on gorgeous St. Simons Island, author Eugenia Price often describes the fall foliage as a "riot of color." During a peaceful morning walk through the UK Arboretum woods, I knew exactly what she meant! Vivid golden yellows, oranges and reds dotted the landscape and created a vibrant autumn scene.

I couldn't help lining this shot up to give this guy a fall makeover with a fiery wig. ;)

Sigh---this is what I miss so much about the Midwest--the "riot of color" as it was so aptly described. Out here we have gold, and yellow, with just hints of oranges or reds in the underbrush. I think I would've lined up that fencepost shot as well...great eye!! Thanks for the lovely walk in the woods.
